To be continued...

i am happy to bring to your attention a series of short stories written by a friend of mine. it’s quite a cute little series that could have great potential, containing much good imagery that can be read more deeply into. without further delay, i bring you…

"Karl the Pineapple: Episode 1"

Once upon a time there was a pineapple named Karl who lived on a bookshelf. He was living a good life with joy among the storybooks. Karl is the best informed person about children’s stories. He knows of Rumpelstilskin and Lon po po. All day the adorable little pineapple reads.
But Karl lives alone and one day he rolled himself off the bookshelf and landed very close to a prancing sundae. She had all kinds of ice cream and fruits and sprinkles and syrups and nuts and all the good stuff that catches even the eyes of those who detest yummy ice cream sundaes. She said "Hello." and introduced herself. Karl did the same. Then she said she had to fly and she spread her crystalline wings then flew away to the Soda Shoppe.
Karl climbed back onto his bookshelf and thought he could either run to the Soda Shoppe and live an impulsive life, using the world as his oyster, like the sundae. He decided to read Sinbad the Sailor.
Tune in between April 13-15 for the climax of this story. Will Karl the pineapple go to the Soda Shoppe? Will he read more of Alice in her Wonderland? Will he fall off the bookshelf to meet someone else? Will he... something?!?!?

That, my friends, was the very first part of "Karl the Pineapple."
