Karl the Pineapple: Episode 2

Sorry for the delay, if indeed anyone but me was waiting for this edition. I was momentarily removed from my blog for varying reasons in the past little while, so this episode is late by... 3 days? Maybe 4.

Halfway through Sinbad, Karl heard music flowing out from the dimly lit Soda Shoppe. They were tunes from an older era where pineapples and icecream and strawberries and white-out never had to worry about wearing sunscreen and whether or not there would be a nuclear war. Karl jumped down carefully and nearly bumped into his friend, the Sundae.
He inquired as to why she had come and she proposed they go sky diving off the top of his bookshelf with psychedelic parachutes so that all the people in the raging metropolis of Fogville could see the colours. Karl, the quiet pineapple, objected.
Sundae proceeded to climb the bookshelf in an uncautious fashion, forcing Karl to go up after her. She grabbed her parachute and literally flew off the tall structure. Karl the pineapple had read a lot of children's books about this sort of thing so he knew that when he jumped off, a dramatic change in his life would occur. He thought of his mother and said to himself, "What would the little matchgirl do?"

Sundae was screaming as one does when one rides the bat or orders a pina colada and receives a waffle."
